All of UK Shaolin Temple’s classes and courses have now moved online. We are continuing to teach and develop all our classes and courses online to keep people and our members active at home. We also offer a range of free classes and other content for public access, to promote physical and mental wellbeing, to maintaining health living at home. Our online material includes martial arts and fitness workouts such as Kung Fu, San Da and fitness. On top of this, we teach Tai ChiMeditationQigong, and mindfulness to support mental health and wellbeing. We have also launched a new weekly Shaolin Talk to explore topics, and offer free advice on how to support your wellbeing and keeping active while at home.

Since last week, we are offering weekly outdoor classes for our current paying members. Classes take place every Friday from 6:00pm – 7:00 pm on Southampton Common, weather permitting. We are offering 3x classes of a maximum group of 6x participants each for Kung Fu, Tai Chi or Chinese Kickboxing (Sanda). You will need to book your place in advance and we are operating a waiting list, in case we have to many members signing up.

  • Open for current paying UK Shaolin Temple Members and also Day Passes (£15.00 per session to be booked and paid in advanced)

We are looking forward to training with you on Southampton Common.

  1. Three classes will be on offer, running parallel on Fridays from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  2. Meeting Point: Southampton Common outdoor gym | Meet up 5:45 pm. Start training at 6:00 pm
  3. All classes are depending on weather and might be cancelled if the weather is too bad
  4. Classes will be Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Sanda (all age groups)
  5. Classes can only hold a maximum of 6 people + Instructors per class
  6. Classes will need to be booked in advanced by sending an email to: ukstmail@gmail.com – please provide your name, e-mail address and phone number, and preferred classes you would want to attend (you can rank different options: i.e. 1st choice: Kung Fu; 2nd choice: Sanda; 3rd choice: Tai Chi)
  7. Classes will be filled on a first come first served basis, and once classes are full, members will be put on a waiting list for the next available opportunity
  8. If you cannot make a class, please cancel at least 48 hours in advance (before Wednesday 6 PM for the Friday Class in the same week) to give other members the chance to join in if a space becomes available
  9. If you don’t turn up or cancel within 48 hours, you will not be able to attend any one of the following class, the week after you missed the class
  10. All outdoor classes will only be available to current paying members of the UK Shaolin Temple (if you are currently not paying any monthly, quarterly or yearly payments you will not be eligible to join the outdoor classes)
  11. You can also book a class by paying for a Day Pass (£15.00 per session) – UKST members get preference to Day Pass Holders
  12. We do not accept any Free Trials on our outdoor classes
  13. If you are currently only paying for our UK Shaolin online platform and want to join the outdoor classes, you will need to sign up again on our UK Shaolin Temple website.
  14. If you are currently not paying any membership fees and want to join the outdoor sessions, please renew your standing order or sign up online on our UK Shaolin Temple website.
  15. If you turn up on the day without a booking confirmation, you will not be able to join that class
  16. All classes will follow governments guidance on social distancing (i.e. observing 1m+ distance)
