This is because it’s very difficult and dangerous to make students train together, especially as at some locations the facilities are too small or the ceiling is not high enough. Its very dangerous to train at those locations. So we decided that we will run weapons courses for every body. DEMONSTRATION FOR CHINESE NEW YEAR On 22nd February a number of our students performed an excellent demonstration of their skills to the Chinese community in Basingstoke. They did a great job and showed great commitment to the school with extra time spent preparing and lots of time waiting to perform once they got to Basingstoke! There was a feast of food to eat though, which did help! Thank you to everyone who was involved. This class has been located to make it within a very close proximity to the M3 motorway, so that students from Basingstoke and Winchester can also access it without having to enter the dreaded M25!! KUNG FU SHOW, BASINGSTOKE We are involved in performing a kungfu show as part of the Chinese celebrations in Basingstoke on 22nd February. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- January ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPECIAL CLASS FOR 2009 Monday classes from 8.00pm – 9.00pm. This class is for fighting only (San Shou/San Da). This class will involve lots stamina and fighting etc. and is only for advanced students. CLASS CHANGES The Bulldog Gym class on Thursdays from 8:15pm – 9:30pm will move to ST CLEMENTS CHURCH HALL on Fridays from 7.30pm – 9.00pm. This class will start on 06th March 2009 MAX IS OFFICIALLY A QUALIFIED INSTRUCTOR For those people who have either had the pleasure of training with Max or are one of his students already, you will know what a good martial artist he is. He has officially now qualified as an instructor of the school. Well Done! CHRISTMAS PARTY This was an excellent event and Shorefields Country Park excelled themselves with the service they provided. It was really worth the money that people had spent. Everyone laughed a lot and we even took the dance floor over when they played ‘Everybody’s Kungfu fighting’! We will book the same venue next year. Happy New Year for 2009 2009 is upon us and let’s hope it brings everyone happiness and good luck. It’s also time to work off all that chocolate and festive food. |
